Fussy Cutting Tutorial for Squares and Borders!

We’ve all had that fabric that is just too pretty to cut up. Today’s tutorial shows you how to make sure your favorite fabric design motifs are front and center for your quilt blocks and borders.

In today’s tutorial I show you how to fussy cut squares and borders, which is the process of very deliberately cutting your fabric to showcase your favorite motifs or to make sure your border cuts are parallel with the lines on the fabric design. Fussy cutting is a great way to take your quilt designs to the next level which just a little bit of extra effort when you cut.

I show you how to use super easy supplies you probably already have at home to mark off your ruler, to create a window that previews what your design. Then we cover how to get everything lined up just perfectly so you can get your motif centered and finally we cut!

And as a shameless plug, I used fabric from my first fabric collection Nocturne in the demo. This fabric is available for pre-order until October 11, 2020. Since this is my first collection and I have no idea how much to order, we are asking that you pre-order to make sure you get what you want.
