In today’s video I walk you through the quilting I did on Ladies Chain, our latest Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern.
The pattern was so simple, that I wanted to elevate the quilt with a little bit fancier quilting. So I used rulerwork to create a series of diamonds in the print squares and straight lines in the white background.
I talk you through why I made my quilting decisions, my thread choices (and regrets) and then give you a play-by-play of exactly what I am doing as I am doing it in real time so you can give the techniques a try at home.
While I am demonstrating on my longarm, you can do rulerwork on your home sewing machine as well. The process is a little different, but the concepts are the same. So watch and get excited to try something new.
