Big Star with NO Matching Points! Twinkle with NEW Kits!

Twinkle is one of my favorite patterns in my best-selling book Fat Quarter Workshop. It is a large scale block that features two colliding stars.

The design of the block makes it great for fabric collections that have a lot of low volume neutrals that don’t offer a lot of value contrast with the background. We use them in the center of the block and the darker fabrics as the star points to clearly define the block and all all the fabrics to shine.

The original fabric in the book quilt is long gone, but we thought Festive Fauna from FIGO would be perfect for a crib sized version. We made up two digital quilts so you can get a preview of what they’ll look like. You can grab one here while supplies last: https://shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product/twinkle-crib-sized-quilt-kit-featuring-little-forester/

Twinkle features large blocks, with just a few half square triangles and only four points to match per block. So it is great for newbies wanting to give half square triangles a try, or experienced quilters who don’t want to spend their life trimming up half square triangles.

In the video I give you in depth instructions on how to make super accurate half square triangles that aren’t all stretched out and and warped so you can have a quilt with points that all end up where they are supposed to.

  1. I am so confused by the first sentence #1. in the cutting instructions. I don’t know what “(six, seven, eleven)” means.
