Five-hour bed quilt

I’ve got a brand new pattern that is super quick and easy to make. It’s a great quilt to make when you need a distraction from a complicated project, like my Block of the Month, or when you need to whip something up quick for a gift.

The Five-Hour Bed Quilt uses a layer cake and coordinating yardage to essentially make a giant split nine patch. The results are a full-sized bed quilt that you can put together in about five hours. And if you don’t have a full-sized bed, like me, this size quilt makes a great couch throw or you could easily buy an extra couple of yards to add some borders and make it a queen-sized quilt.

This pattern would be great for beginners or advanced quilters looking for a fast project. The instructions feature full-color diagrams, written directions for each step, a layout and assembly guide. One of my favorite things about this pattern, besides how quickly it goes together, is how completely different it looks depending on the fabric choices you use.
