Virtual Shop Hop: The Cotton Blossom Fabric Shoppe, Madison, Miss.

The Cotton Blossom Fabric Shoppe is one of the cheeriest quilt shops I’ve ever been in. The entire store is filled with bright, fun fabrics that will put a smile on your face the moment you enter.

The quilt shop is in a converted house with an open floor plan and high ceilings. That means when you walk in all you see is walls and walls of fabric in every direction. White shelving units used to hold the bolts adds to the cheeriness of the place.

There is a HUGE selection of florals. And we’re not talking about your grandmother’s florals. These are bright, modern, large scale prints that appeal to today’s quilters.

There also is an excellent selection of kids fabrics and coordinates, including that super-cute line of chevron prints in the bottom middle of the photograph above. And you can’t see it here, but they have an ample supply of pre-cuts in solid colors to make your piecing go even faster.

I know this will get some quilters excited. The Cotton Blossom Fabric Shoppe already has a decent supply of Christmas fabric in stock. Time to get started ladies.

And for your husbands, there is a nice front porch with seating where the men folk can sit and watch the train go by while you shop. The Cotton Blossom Fabric Shoppe is located at 100 Depot Drive, Madison, MS. It is in a shopping district that is about 20 minutes outside of Jackson, Mississippi. The shopping district is filled with shops selling hand crafted items, and would make a fun afternoon excursion.
