Today we are bringing back one of my very first pattern designs Stars & Stripes. This patriotic quilt pattern is fat quarter friendly and works as a Quilt of Valor, or just to have out in your own home over the summer.
This pattern was created long before Quilt Addicts Anonymous sold fabric. At the time we were doing fabric exchanges and this is the exchange that broke me. Make sure to watch the video for the story and picture of my then 2-year-old future quilter “helping” me sort fabric.
We’ve got new quilt kits featuring American Spirit by Patrick Lose to recreate the look of the original quilt I made with fabrics I bought on a trip to Washington D.C. I just love the juxtaposition of the blue stars, surrounded by red and white log cabin stripes that look like a flag waving in the wind.
And make sure to check out the amazing panel Patrick Lose designed that is an instant table runner. Seriously, you just have to sew two seams and it will look like you created a beautiful patriotic table runner from scratch.
