Win three yards of flannel backing fabric

This month’s winner will receive three yards of 108-inch wide flannel backing fabric in a tan marbled print. That’s enough to back a queen-sized quilt.

If you’re new to the Block a Day Challenge, here’s how it works. Sew one quilt block each day and post a photo of it to our Flickr group. Each quilt block counts as one entry, so while you don’t have to sew a block each day, you have a better chance to win if you do. But you are limited to a maximum of one entry per day, so if you sew 40 blocks this month, that’s great. You can post them all, but only 31 will count as entries.

You also get five bonus points for sewing a block by hand, just indicate your construction method in the caption, 10 points for completing a quilt top and 20 for completing a quilt or donating one to charity.

Since I just posted the February roundup yesterday with a bunch of photos, today I’ll just list or totals for week nine of the Block a Day Challenge.

This week we completed 77 blocks, 3 tops and 1 quilt. Great job and keep up the good work. Together we’ll finish more quilts in 2012.
