Block a Day Challenge – January round up
The object of the Block a Day Challenge is to finish more quilts in 2012, and boy did we finish some quilts in January.
If you’re just now joining us for the Block a Day Challenge, here’s how it works. Spend a few minutes each day sewing one quilt block. Then take a picture of it and post it to the Block A Day Flickr group. If you’re not sure how to post your photos to Flickr, here’s a tutorial on how to do it. Then at the end of the month a winner is chosen at random to receive a prize to help you finish your quilt. This month’s prize is three spools of variegated quilting thread. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
If you can’t post a block every day, that’s OK because you get because you get one entry for each block you complete, 10 entries for a completed top and 20 entries for a completed quilt. For complete rules, check out the Block a Day tab. So the more you quilt, the better your chances of winning, but just like the lottery, it only takes one block to win.
Today is the last day to enter the Block a Day Challenge in January, but everybody starts over tomorrow, so I’d love to see more people join the challenge and finish more quilts in 2012.
And if you’re still not sure, maybe all these quilts that were finished in January will help you change your mind.
