Friday Progress Report: The final fabrics chosen by you

I’ve got 12 blocks left to piece for my maple leaf log cabin quilt. That meant I needed two more fat quarters to make the maple leaves, but I had three to choose from.
Since I owe my fast progress on this quilt to my followers on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, I decided to let you all decide which of the two fabrics I would use for the final maple leaf blocks.
The votes are in and the winners are…
All the fabrics!
The consensus was the print on the far right read as a solid, and I was going to leave it out. But then I realized two fat quarters would give me enough maple leaves for the inside of the quilt, but not for the border, so I decided to use all three fabrics. Yes, I’m insane and still have to piece 80, 6-inch maple leaves for the border of this quilt. We’re going to ignore that fact right now and focus on how I just have to add log cabin strips to 12 more maple leaf centers and all 64 blocks will be done for this quilt. So exciting!
