July Block of the Month
We are officially halfway through the year and we’re getting toward the end of our quilt. There are just four, 12-inch blocks to make each month through the end of the year.
This month we’re making more double pinwheels. If you remember, the last time we made double pinwheels we had mirrored blocks. We will only use one half of the blocks for July. But don’t worry, we won’t let any go to waste, we’ll use the other half in the October block.
As always I’m making the quilt in two colorways since fabric choices can change the look of the whole quilt. Just click here or on photo below to go to Craftsy and download the pattern.

I was just wondering if blue jeans would for this pattern. I have a lot of old blue jeans and through I would use them with this pattern, not sure it would work as I am just starting to learn quilting.
Blue jeans are probably too thick to use with this pattern. I would stick to quilting cottons.
I have a question on the July 2014 block of the month. The purple and pink pinwheel. When laying the hst over the second color should the slightly smaller one be centered on the larger piece or should 2 of the edges be lined up? Thank you!
