Strip Pieced Fat Quarter Quilt Pattern Fly Away

This month’s Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern is my favorite kind of pattern … one that looks complicated, but is pretty simple and fast once you break it down.

This month we are using offset strip piecing to create vertical strip pieced rows that look like they are forming a “V”. The result looks a little like a feather or books being opened, both of which work with the collection theme Bookish by Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics.

I was an English major in college, and am constantly reading stories to my girls and listening to adult books on Audible while I quilt, so this was a must have collection. Plus the colors are so gorgeous and on trend.

I know you’ll also enjoy snuggling up with your favorite book under this quilt on a cold winter day.
