December block of the month

We’ve made it! Here is the final video tutorial and pattern for the 2014 Quilt Addicts Anonymous Block of the Month. To celebrate, I’m hosting a contest on my Facebook page. Click here to enter a photo of your quilt for a chance to win a $100 gift card Fabric.com. You can enter whether you’ve just made one block or you’ve got the entire top done. Just make sure you enter your photo by New Year’s Eve for a chance to win!

We’re learning a new technique this month. We’ll be making flying geese units from squares. This is a a very accurate method of sewing, it is easy and there is no waste.

I want to thank you all for following along. I put this pattern online thinking maybe 50 people would follow along, but now we’re up to 9,000 people who have downloaded the patterns. I’m so excited you all have enjoyed this pattern as much as I have.

I’m almost ready to release the 2015 pattern. There are all new blocks and a stunning new look. So stay tuned!

One more bit of news before we get to this month’s pattern download. Now you can download all the 2014 Block of the Month patterns in one document. The 30 page PDF contains all the full color instructions, assembly diagrams and fabric requirements. You can download the complete pattern set for $5 by clicking here.

The individual month patterns are still free and always will be. That includes the December pattern. Click here or on the photo below to download the December pattern.

  1. I just completed all the blocks including December, 2014. I am now ready to put everything together. I have enjoyed it very much and look forward to doing the next quilt for 2015. The instructions are quite simple for putting it together with the borders. Is there any tutorial on putting on the borders?? I think I will make out fine on this and with finish it tomorrow. Thanks again, Marilyn
