This is our last video celebrating Nocturne, my first fabric collection with QT Fabrics which is shipping now. We saved one of my favorite quilts for last, Garden Plot, which is available in my book Fat Quarter Workshop.
In today’s tutorial I show you how to fussy cut the owls to fit the large rectangle and small square featured in the quilt so they are perfectly centered. Then I cover how to modify the original pattern so you can still strip piece everything but the owl sections so it is still super fast.
We are working on an actual physical version of this quilt, but we’ve been spending most of our time cutting and shipping your Nocturne orders, so it’s not quite done yet. But we do have the digital version of the quilt you can see.
