Free Motion Quilting Design Perfect for Diamond Blocks! Topographic Lines + Rulerwork Outlining

In today’s Quilting the Quilt video I show you how I quilted Sparkle, one of our Stashin’ with Stephanie patterns from a few months ago. I used a combination of rulerwork to outline the diamonds, a topographic free motion quilting design within each diamond and swirls in the background.

I love how the rulerwork defines each diamond and the topographic stitch within each block make it look like the blocks are radiating out from the center.

We cover how to do each technique in detail with some play-by-play descriptions so you can give it a try on your own longarm or home sewing machine.
