Stunning fat quarter quilt that is WAY easier than it looks! Burst Revisited

It’s Stashin’ with Stephanie time! This month’s quilt is a reinterpretation of one of our most popular block of the month patterns, Burst.

I created a new block design that is true the original block shape that perfectly separates the light value prints from the light background. That allows you to use all the prints in a line, without having any of them get lost so your entire block can pop.

I just love how it turned out in Birdwatch by Boccaccini Meadows for FIGO Fabrics. The fabrics really read as a neutral and the greens are super trendy right now in home decor, so you cannot go wrong with this line. It’s gorgeous.

Unlike the original BOM, we are just using one block design throughout. That makes it much easier, faster and fat quarter friendly.

And while those points might look challenging, they’re not any more difficult than sewing a half square triangle from squares and we walk your through it step-by-step in the video tutorial.

To help you know how fast and easy this is, we got our fabric SUPER late for this month’s subscription club bundle, so I went from quilt design to finished quilt, written pattern and video published in one week!
