New Modern Batiks & Southwest Modern Quilting Fabric

We’ve got two fabulous new modern quilting fabric collections to share with you today!

First up is Spectrum, a modern batik from my friend Jessica VanDenburgh. We’ve carried her fabrics before, but you probably know her best as the designer of all the fabulous bags we feature in our tutorials by Sew Many Creations.

You can watch my chat with Jessica about how the collection came to be here: https://youtu.be/BWbNIh-mF7Y

The modern designs and fun bright colors are amazing, and modern batiks are so rare, that this is a must have for your stash.

We’ve also got a new collection from Cotton+Steel, Among Flowers by Puebla Estudio. This southwest-inspired collection features block flower and creature designs in a beautifully rich color palette.

The neutrals are particularly strong in this collection and would make a great low volume background for many quilts. The colored dots give just enough texture to make it interesting without taking away from the prints.
