Mini Block of the Month August 2016 tutorial

It feel so strange for me to be done with a block of the month just three months in, but here we are with the final tutorial for Cabin in the Clearing, the Quilt Addicts Anonymous Mini 2016 BOM.

This block goes pretty quickly. We’re making four patches, a few flying geese and finishing up with some log cabin strips. I show you how to do it all on the video tutorial above.

Then you’ll put the top together. There are full instructions in the free printable instructions that you can get by clicking here. I really love the secondary design that is formed when all the blocks are sewn together to make the quilt center. After that you just add two simple borders and this is ready to be quilted.

I finished my top up last week. It hasn’t been quilted yet, but you can see it in the photo above.

If you have been watching the tutorial series, but haven’t gotten the quilt kit, now is the time to do it. All the kits are one sale for 25 percent off! They’ll be at that price until they sell out. Click here to get yours.

  1. Please can you tell me how to find the make up instructions for the mini block of the month 2016, as where it says click here for instructions there is nothing to click on.

  2. There was several mistakes in Aug. block. #1 on the D104-SG you said to cut 1- 4 1/2 strip ,then cut 5 1/2″ sq. don’t work.
#2 On block assembly you said D104SG I think should be Do7-R.
