Today’s tutorial is perfect for anyone who has been wanting to give equilateral triangles, or 60-degree triangles, a go but have been intimidated by them.
I just love equilateral triangles because they look so fancy and advanced, but they’re not that bad once you break them down. My pattern On the 60 from my first book, “Simple Quilts for the Modern Home” is the perfect beginner 60-degree triangle pattern. The triangles are big and they are sewn together in horizontal rows, which makes it about as easy as you can get.
As always we cover everything you need to know in detail in the video. I go over which ruler to use, how to cut, how to sew them together, press and pin to get perfect points every time.
The original fabric used in this quilt is long gone, so we have put together kits using the fabric I used in the video. It’s a more grown up version that is perfect for fall and winter. I just love the deep colors from Pat Bravo’s Nuncia, one of our best selling collections.
All the cutting instructions and full color assembly diagrams for this quilt plus 11 others are in my book Simple Quilts for the Modern Home. Grab your signed copy at this link: https://shop.quiltaddictsanonymous.com/product/simple-quilts-for-the-modern-home-available-for-pre-order/
