Strip-pieced Diamond Quilt with NO Y-seams from Fat Quarters – Ultraviolet

I know what you’re thinking … that’s a lot of little diamonds. But guess, what, we’re strip piecing this baby and you don’t have to cut a single tiny diamond!

For Ultraviolet, this month’s Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern inspired by this month’s Alison Glass Art Theory bundle, we are using offset strip piecing to create 60-degree pieced diamonds.

By placing the fabrics strategically from light to dark we are able to create a really cool effect when all the diamond blocks are assembled with NO Y-seams!

In this month’s tutorial I not only show you how to piece the block with loads of tips on how I got all my points just right. But I also cover how to assemble the rows into wedges, join the rows and join the wedges to complete the quilt top.

This top can absolutely be completed by an advanced beginner. Just take it slow, mark your 1/4 inch on the wrong side of your rows, like I show you in the video and you too will have an awesome quilt with points that will make all your quilty friends jealous.
