Dare to DIY – Fall placemats

Dare to DIY

My friend Kim blogs over at NewlyWoodwards.com. In addition to just finishing the remodel of her third home (she’s under 30), Kim is also very creative and is hosting a Dare to DIY blog party.

I’m participating and today’s theme is a making your own Thanksgiving-themed project. I’m cheating a little because I made these placemats a couple years ago, but I bring them out every fall and change them out throughout the year with others I’ve made from the same pattern for other seasons.

You can see how to make them below in the two videos I produced when I made placemats for the 4th of July. And the fabric requirements and cutting instructions can be found here, in the tutorials section of my website. Happy sewing!

P.S. The videos were produced for my home improvement blog which I write for the Quad-City Times. I use my maiden for my byline. You can check that blog out at qctimes.com/homerookies.
