Rulerwork quilting in diamond quilt block! Longarm or Domestic Rulerwork Quilting Tutorial

In today’s video I show you how I quilted Starburst, a NO Y-seam diamond pattern from my book, “Fat Quarter Workshop: 12 Skill-Building Patterns.” You can grab a signed copy here:

I just love diamond blocks. They look a lot harder to put together than they actually are, and I believe they deserve special treatment when you quilt them.

So in this tutorial I show you how I use straight and curvy rulers to stitch-in-the-ditch to outline the diamonds and then create uniform arcs inside the blocks. The results are stunning.

Rulerwork looks intimidating at first, but once you get used to keeping the edge of the ruler foot in contact with the edge of your longarm ruler at all times, you can create any shape and have it turn out fabulous every time.
