Welcome to our Intro Free Motion Quilting series! We are so excited about this course so we can help give you the confidence to finish your quilts yourself on your home sewing machine or longarm.
I have so enjoyed making this series and showing you all how you can take four basic quilting stitches and transform them to create limitless combinations on your quilts.
I hope you have enjoyed it too and watched your quilting skills blossom and improve with continual practice.
But now it’s time for a comparison, we’re going to take a look at my quilting skills on the domestic sewing machine verses the longarm. Watch as I take a look at each design and talk through the pros and cons of each machine when you are quilting your quilts.
We have created four reorderable quilt kits using solid fabrics from Northcott Colorworks. The richly colored fabrics are fabulous to work with, and it will make it very easy to see your stitches and make your stitching the star or the show.

I have my Baby Lock machine on my dining room table. I am going to try putting it on the right end of the long side of the table with the part where the needle is toward me. Then I will try to do my free motion quilting.
I think it will help by supporting all of the rest of the quilt lying on the table.
