Christmas Star Quilting Stencil Tutorial! Quiltmas in July

We’ve got a special quilting stencil for you today. The Christmas Star quilting design from Full Line Stencil is absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect example of why you want to incorporate stencils into your quilting.

This intermediate stencil design is not one I could ever freehand. But when I have a line to follow, I can quilt it out and make it look pretty darn good. It is a combination of swirls and star points, so if you’ve taken our Intro to Free Motion Quilting Course, you should be ready to give this a go.

If you haven’t taken our course, I highly recommend checking it out. The 30-part video series is FREE to watch. But there are paid patterns, stencil kits and a quilt kit you can use to practice on.

You’ll learn four basic quilting stitches using stencils to get the muscle memory down. Then we teach you multiple variations for each design so you can make each quilt your own. And the best part is when you are done, you have a completed quilt to show off all your sample on.
