Strip Pieced Quilt Perfect for Showing Off Fabrics! + a NEW Halloween Kit … Dash

It’s Halloween Week at Quilt Addicts Anonymous! We’ve got all our fall prints in and we wanted to share the new goodies and some inspirational projects you can totally finish by October 31st of THIS YEAR!

First up is a remake of Dot Dash, a pattern from my third book Fat Quarter Patchwork Quilts. We did a version of this in Halloween fabric last year and you all loved it. So we made an adorable digital version in Ghost Town by Dana Willard for FIGO Fabrics.

Dot Dash just does such a good job of showing off pretty fabrics, that I think it would look great in just about anything as long you use a light value fabric for the background and medium/dark prints for the fat quarters.

As you’ll see in the video, while it looks like there’s a lot of tiny pieces to cut for this quilt, it is almost entirely strip pieced. So we can create all the smaller squares and rectangles very efficiently and quickly.

  1. Stephanie,
I was surprised to notice that you are from the QC. I lived there for 42 years, when we moved to Champaign for my husband to attend the U of Illinois for his masters degree. We stayed there for 22 years. We then moved back to Moline. My husband passed in 2016 and I moved to Bloomington/Normal. I love the QC. My oldest daughter lives in East Moline. I will try to purchase from you.
