July Block of the Month
I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! Now that you’re all rested and refreshed, it is time to get started on the July Block of the Month pattern.
This month and for every month until the end of the year, we will just be making four, 12-inch blocks as we finish the corners for the Calypso Kaleidoscope quilt. This month is essentially a giant pinwheel, but since it is pieces we get to show off some of the beautiful green and yellow fabrics in the Moda Calypso Batik line.
The techniques are pretty simple too, we’re making a bunch of half square triangles again, but this month I recommend that you press your seams open instead of to one side so you can get a nice flat center where all the points come together.
Just click here or on the photo below to go to the pattern download page. Just add it to your cart and check out. The pattern is free, and creating an account is free, but you have to check out in order for the website to know to email you the pattern. I hope you enjoy this month’s block. Happy quilting!
beautiful patterns.
I really like your July Block video instructions. Your very energetic and easy to follow. I just have to make this block.
Love the pattern and the fabric! Is there an easy way to make a queen size instead of King?
Just leave off the final black border. That will take a foot off the final size.
