I am constantly getting asked what quilt patterns you can use with panels. Today we’ve got a great pattern that is perfect for panels, designed by my 8-year-old daughter Angela Soebbing!
She chose to cut the panel into large square blocks to show off the large unicorns, small fussy cut unicorns for cornerstones and yardage to fill in the alternating blocks and make the quilt bigger.
Angela designed her quilt using Unicorn Love by Diane Neukirch for Clothworks Fabrics. But this pattern can easily be made with other panels if unicorns aren’t your thing. Just swap out a different panel or other fabrics, make sure your squares and cornerstones can be fussy cut to these sizes.
Check out the video to watch Angela sew this quilt together while I handle the cutting and pressing. Then grab your favorite panel and start fussy cutting, or grab a Unicorn Love Quilt Kit and make one with or for your favorite little quilter in training!
The Unicorn Love quilt pattern designed by Angela Soebbing will be free with the purchase of the kit!
