OMG I love a good ombre, and this new collection from Lewis & Irene is absolutely fabulous.
Unlike most ombres, the color change happens from selvage to selvage, so you get a longer color transfer. And with super vibrant colors and a silky texture, this digital printed ombre collection is an absolute must have.
My favorite is the one that used all the colors in the rainbow, but I think I’m going to have to remake a dress in the purple ombre for my 3-year-old to wear.
I’ve got a couple quilt patterns that use ombre fabrics. One you should absolutely give a try is Ombre Star from my first book Simple Quilts for the Modern Home. Each diamond uses one ombre fabric in the outer diamond and a gray ombre in the center diamond. It looks so amazing when it’s done.
