I am in love with this month’s free motion quilting stencil. The Tiger Stripe is super easy to master, and it provides a great dense, all over quilting design that is pretty quick to stitch up.
All you have to do is follow the lines to swoop back and forth. As long as you can keep your points pointy and your swoops gentle, is is guaranteed to look fantastic.
This stencil comes in two sizes and I show you how to use the Pounce Pad with Full Line Stencil to mark out your design, follow the lines when you quilt and then fit the stencil in to mark additional rows so your quilting design fits in just perfectly.
The best part about this stencil is it is really easy to use it to develop the muscle memory of the stitch. Then once you have that down, you can adapt the stitch to fit any space you want to create lots of rich texture wherever you want on a quilt.
