This month we are working with Retro Rove by Lemonni for FIGO Fabrics. The line is inspired by 80s architecture and colors, and my quilt design was inspired by my bathroom floor tile.
Yes, you read that right. I have one of those pink and mauve 1950s bathrooms. I hate it, but I have been staring at the floor tile for 11 years thinking, this would make an awesome quilt. And now it officially has.
I changed the layout up a bit so that there would only be full, complete seams that can be sewn together to make up six sections in the quilt. That way there are no partial seams. I love how the design really allows you to show off your favorite prints in a big, bold way.
And the best part, you can make this quilt with just 12 fat quarters and a little bit of background fabric. So this quilt is budget friendly too.
